Sage 200 Project Accounting from Sage Software
The latest addition to the Sage 200 suite is a new module called Sage 200 Project
Accounting. The Sage Project 200 Project accounting module is highly configurable with advanced
analysis aimed at customers who need to keep track of costs and revenues by project
or job.
What is Sage 200 Project Accounting
The new Sage 200 project accounting module can be adjusted to suit the needs
of businesses requiring simple or detailed costing and analysis structures. Sage
200 Project provides in-depth analysis and reporting features to make sure projects
remain on target and to maintain profit levels.
Sage 200 Project Accounting application has been developed from the extensive
feedback of over 2,000 customers and over 50 Sage Business Partners; as a result:
- It has been designed to be flexible and configurable
- Provides excellent enquiries and reports facilities
- Integrates with Sage 200 Financials, Commercials and Payroll
- Supports migration from Sage 50 Costing and Sage 100 Job costing.

- New projects can be created quickly and simply by utilising existing projects, project
templates, from a sales order or sales quotation.
- Configurable hierarchy supports an unlimited number of analysis levels while providing
control of sub level behaviours.
- A configurable option, for example, does the customer wish to budget by period?
Is this an internal project with no customer involved?
Sage 200 Project Integration and posting
- Sage 200 Financials and Commercials integration.
- Import and synchronise employees and pay elements into Sage Payroll.
- Remote time and expense entry via an optional web interface – available May 2007.
Sage 200 Project Cost Control
- Support for budgets and committed costs, includes rolled up, annual, period, quantity
and revenue.
- Powerful enquires, includes list based, detailed or summary enquiries. Allows information
to be sent directly to Microsoft Excel for analysis.

Sage 200 Project Billing
- Utilises time and materials and fixed price billing methods.
- Bill a project as a whole or in as many part bills as required.
- Control revenues by utilising a billing schedule for example, on key project milestones
